Hi, I'm hosting a LAN in a little bit and am asking for some music recommendations.  The attendees all enjoy different forms of techno(trance, dance, progressive), and rock(not emo).

While I do not limit suggestions to those genres, I am looking for upbeat, fast, or overall 'game' music.

Band, or song names would be appreciated, thanks.

I like to listen to softer music while playing games, gets me relaxed and calm. I generally play better. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Crossfade, Incubus, Lifehouse, Creed, Yellowcard, Foo Fighters, etc.

I'd suggest stuff like soundtracks.
In particular- The matrix trilogy (well maybe just the first 2 movies).

One band that really sticks out in my head when you mention upbeat and 'game music' is "Juno Reactor" (They made some of the music for the matrix as well as a shit load other action movies). Titles you should check out from juno reactor: "feel the universe", "mona lisa overdrive", "conga fury", "control".
