of course.
Been a week now. Scabbing almost gone and peeling has been minimal. Should be totally healed in a few more days
Nice
I accidentally scraped it against the edge of something last night. Today some skin was lifting. Against good advice I pulled the skin off. Luckily no ink followed it and it's smoother and appears more healed than before. Bonus!

Get it on your ass. That way, when it itches, you get double points for slapping it.Jaekus wrote:

I gotta go back for some touch up work, a scab that pulled out some ink and some more coloring. Feel like I am slated to walk the green mile goin back there.
Not sure where my next one will be but I think it will be either my other arm or somewhere more concealed.

I was pretty scared when mine had pretty bad peeling too... but a year and a half later it's still got full color. And mine's 8x bigger than yours!Jaekus wrote:

It's almost fully healed. It looks healed, just the middle part is slightly sensitive to touch. Loving it now
A workmate was telling me the other day of a girl he knows who's becoming a tattooist. She's only done one or two actual tattoos on people (practised a lot on pig skin before then) but the guys who run the studio where she's starting to work have told her she has a very steady hand and is really good already. They expect her to own her own studio one day. So I'm thinking about hitting her up for one. Because she's new she does tatts for like $10 that would otherwise be worth $150+
Only thing now is deciding what and where I want one...

make sure its something you can cover up/turn into something else - just incase it turns out shit. Block colours are usually easy to alter with another design.
Yeah the next one I want will be on my upper arm, shoulder or body.
I've been assured she's very good, despite her inexperience. She used to be an artist before becoming a tattoo artist.

not too bad was it
Bit of light reading whilst going her from behind, how thoughtful.
I always planned on doing that some day. I think its a very nice gesture and a great memory to share with someone. Think about you getting back in 10 years when she owns her own shop and remember how you were one of the first.Jaekus wrote:

Romantics aside, I would still let her show you some work beforehand, just in case
Oh definitely. Because she's new as well she's probably pretty enthusiastic right now so it could be cool to sit down with her and work out some ideas.
