They actually were very reliable. To our family anyways. My mom has had hers for 5 years and the only major thing that she needed done was to fix a broken axle. Which was my fault, i slid into a curb during a snowstorm which bent it. Other than that, just a regular oil change and check the fluids and you're good to go.Dilbert_X wrote:
Well, Pontiacs must be pretty good if they stopped making them.
My brother has had two, he fucked up his first one by crashing it an unprecedented 4 times in one year. One of which was just him being plain stupid. He had his driver side door open at a gas station and he started backing up to the pump, failing to realize that there are those cement posts in front of every gas pump. He hit one of those and forced the door forward on its hinges. It was forever fucked up after that, never closed properly.
The second one he has runs perfectly, no problems so far.
In total our family has owned 2 Pontiac Bonnevilles a 1992 and 1997 (both mine) 2 2006 Grand Prix (one of which is in my mothers hands, the other was the one my brother fucked up.) And a 2008 G6, which is my brothers current.
My dad owns a 1995 Chevrolet Silverado that has 200k+ miles on it. So if you're going to buy American. Buy a truck at least, they'll last you. Or a Caddy, they may be some work but hot damn they are comfortable. Air ride system still worked on my 1994 DeVille. Rode like a dream.

If the women don't find ya handsome. They should at least find ya handy.
