Ledger's performance made a good movie great so I'm really interested to see if Nolan can get more excellent performances that aren't just an immitation of Ledger or if he's gonna try and muscle through with spectacle. If Batman Begins and Inception are any indication, I'm guessing it will mostly be spectacle, which isn't necessarily bad coming from Nolan.
You honestly think Nolan gets by with just spectacle? He's not Michael Bay, dude. Inception and Batman Begins were brilliant movies. Batman Begins was a hard story to tell but I think Nolan went a lot farther and more into detail than anyone else did in the past with telling how Bruce Wayne became Batman. Obviously the comics and animated series were good at it, but there's little surprise there. The past Batman movies were horrible at it, though.Reciprocity wrote:

how about the personal struggle that is trapped within Bruce. How did he turn that anger into a tool to seek out those that would do harm to the innocent.
the other movies only graced it and then did reflections. with nolan we got to feel a personal connection with the main character and the realization of who is the real person .. is Bruce Wayne his real persona or is it Batman
Nolan's Batman is closer to the original in that he doesn't kill people. I liked the Keaton films, but he intentionally kills peeps in those.
I really think that Noland takes all the good stuff from the comics/tas and keeps most of the stupid shit out.
for example:
He mad the joker sick and twisted as fuck
he left out robin (he hates robin. Who doesnt?)
he gave every single villain a more realistic twist. Making them more plausible for a real world scenario (relatively of course)
he gave batman only the coolest and somewhat realistic gadgets
he made the batmobile more badass than in any other movie/series/comic

That's a fake trailer. Look at the upload date, Feb 5, 2011. If it was real we would have all seen it already. It might be very well done, but it's still fake.
Also, if you listen closely at the end, it's obvious that the clip of Bane yelling "I will break you!" was the one from Arkham Asylum.
