What does everybody think of the knifing? Looks like it can be countered.
Yes on the selectable weapon part, no on the rest. 100% damage is absolutely fine as long as the weapon is selectable.-CARNIFEX-[LOC] wrote:

Make it a selectable weapon like BF2...
50% dmg with each standard, quick slash (left-click attack)
75% from a slower, more precise stab (right-click attack)
If opponent is facing away, make damages go up by 25% (i.e. 75% for a slash and 100% for a stab)...
That way, your one-shot-kills only happen if you manage to do a slower stab on someone who isn't facing you.
What will be in the game:
Autoaiming lightsabers cleverly disguised as combat knives.
BF:V, BF 1942, BF 2142, BF 1943... Do you see where this is going?Mutantbear wrote:

By putting "besides", BF2 became "recent". But really, 1943 is fairly recent. And as noted earlier, there is also MAG.RTHKI wrote:
have to say i was surprised when i saw recent and bf2 in the same sentence
If BF2 qualifies as recent so do the others.burnzz wrote:

directional hitboxes are a headache... i've yet to see a game (fps or mmo) where they work reliably, all the time

would it really change that much with the engine? surely the way hitboxes move + with latency = problems
