When they're not diving around and cheating, it's a privilege to watch Barcelona. That first 15-20 minutes of the second half, wow just wow, the best period football I have ever seen, considering the circumstances. Messi lived up to all the pre-game hype, he was amazing on the night. There really was not much more United could do, They had no chances, Barcelona defended well and really pressured united in midfield.
Fantastic goal by Rooney, no chances apart from that. The only criticism I could think of for United is the second goal, Messi shouldn't have had that space, and Van Der Sar should have saved it, it was almost in the middle of the goal.
Great final.

It was a great final, first half was amazing, United started strongly, then dropped off, then sort of stunned Barca.
How you deal with a team that has upwards of 60% possession is extremely hard.
How many teams have restricted Barca to shooting from outside the box though, giving Abidal the armband was a nice touch too. One grievance is Busquet being a bit of a twat again time wasting etc, it's not necessary especially when you're playing in a team like that.
Let Pep take over from Fergie in a few years, bring that Messi lad with him too
