Not really. Almost the entire console community is obsessed with the COD series - you get the fanboys who buy the games on release day, and then all their friends who play casually end up buying it too so they can play with them. Look at Black Ops - it's a terribly dull game that's average at best, yet it's already made billions of dollars in just initial sales, and then another killing in the DLC priced at $15 per pack for some horribly designed maps, but loaded with gimmicky features and shiny graphics to please all the brainless teenagers. People aren't buying it because it's a good game, they buy it for brand recognition and because everyone else plays it.SEREMAKER wrote:

As for the PC community, I think BF3 will be the PC gamer's choice game this year. Considering the bad experiences the past few COD games on PC, and the fact that DICE is developing BF3 on PC to begin with sealed the deal that BF3 will be the better PC game.
Both franchises are enormous, so it will be interesting to see there presentations at E3, and through (I'd imagine) aggressive advertising leading up to the release.
