Thinking of getting a tattoo

Did a search, threads are 2+ years old.

I've thought about this for YEARS. I've decided I want one and am in the process of choosing a design.

For those who have them and love theirs, how long should I deliberate over a particular design?

I tend to overthink things so I've decided to go with something that is unchangeable about me so I can't regret it in ten years time.

I was thinking something kinda ordinary to start with, like the roman numerals XIII (I'm born on the 13th so it's always been my number).

I also play bass and was thinking some bass cleff tattoo. But nothing generic to what I can see in google image search. Had the idea of a bass clef yin yang but there appears to be a few designs and none really took my fancy.

i agree. even get your design done as a temp tattoo and if you still like it after that get it. nothing worse than thinking its cool looking only to look at it 10-15 yrs later and think wtf wish i didint have that done. cause regret is a bitch and costly to have removed. if it can be removed. been there done that.

Good idea. I think I'll think and play around with some designs, find one I'm happy with and then get a henna tattoo to see what I think of it. If I still like it after a couple weeks then it sounds like a winner.
