You don't know? Only one of the best RTS games ever.
Oh yeah and here are some screens I found from an upcoming mod. They're crazy!
The smallest ships in these screens are the largest you can get in the vanilla game.

elite force was boss.
i really don't get the nostalia that people feel for most older games... excepting the obvious classics and top-rate titles.
there seems to be some arbitrary elitism, almost like a gaming hipsterism, around 'old' and 'vintage' games.
playing a game with shitty graphics from an indie developer doesn't give you gaming kudos... it means you have no life

Are you talking about me?
Well if you are:
Total Annihilation was the first game I ever played on the PC so it has a special place for me. It's the ultimate nostalgia game.
As for that Star Trek Voyager one, I've just heard it's not bad (for a star trek game especially) so I'm playing it and giving it a go. It was made by Raven software and published by Activision back in the day. And you know what, so far it's not bad. Being a Star Trek fan I've always wanted to be able to explore the ship and you can do that in this which is a cool bonus.
If you were talking to someone else then yeah whatever disregard this.

wasn't talking about anyone in particular... 'people' in the general sense, i.e. the trend

original Rainbow Six on dial-up, *jizzes everywhere*
Reminds me that I need to install Armada II on my pc. Left the old XPS3 with the ex.
You may not have any happy childhood memories with games...Uzique wrote:

But some of us enjoyed playing some games back then, and it kinda brings back that feeling & memories if you try them today..

I kinda wanna play Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, now (think that's what it was called).
That was bad-ass.

Like my new Raptor?
Disregarding 'Star Wars' in front of everything:FFLink wrote:

Dark Forces
Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2
- Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith
Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast
Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
Yeah, it's pretty fucked up.
Academy was cool because of the dual/staff lightsabers, but I still preferred Outcast.
Haven't played the first two... May have to give them a go.

am i playing them now, 10 years later? and posting screenshots and talking about them with rose-tinted glasses? no.
it's the smug gaming-oldschool gayness that gets me. not the fact people still play old games.
and no it doesn't bring back the feeling of childhood when you play old games. stop being such a sad cunt. get on with your life.

Sure those posh people who stick to old games and claim "HURR DURR GAMING DEAD" are annoying...Uzique wrote:

But those who play old games for their own enjoyment, I don't see anything wrong with them... That's what I think he was doing and he felt like sharing he had done so...

I find old games I used to remember playing and track em down and play em in dosbox again.
They rarely last 5 mins. No nostalgia just UGH I USED TO PLAY THIS!?

How do you pull that from a couple of screenshots?Uzique wrote:

I bought the R6 pack off of steam awhile back. I installed R6 Vegas, played it for 2 minutes and then went and played Ravenshield for a few hours.mtb0minime wrote:

I don't know what happened but the new ones are nothing like what the series started out as.
'Classic' gamers who play old games not for nostalgia or to see what they were like, but because it's the trendy thing to do can turn right around and go back to Halo. Classic gamers who can't see any value in a game newer than a decade can likewise go $*#& themselves.
STO land combat should've been more like Elite Force.CC-Marley wrote:
