Yes sir. Well my home page on the left can be done without rooting. The big clock + date thing is called 'Wp Clock Full' for 99c, there is also a light version. The widget buttons also on the left is called 'Widgetsoid' is on the market place. It is also free.

I also used titanium backup pro to freeze annoying apps such as blockbuster, amazon mp3, etc. It freezes them but not deletes them so they dont use any memory or anything but are still there if need be. Or if you're brave you can delete them.

** If you have a rooted phone you can browse online for apps. Example, "Shazam Pro apk" download this to your memory card either on your phone or your computer. Then use a free app on the market place called "AppInstaller" to browse and select that apk file to install it.
You don't need to have a rooted phone to install apps from the web. Enable third-party apps in the normal Android settings and then you can install ANY .apk file directly onto your phone...

yes. depending on your provider it almost vital to do so to get rid of junk apps.
Verizon updated my phone a few weeks ago. It gave me the ability to remove their apps and bookmarks.

Verizon was who i was speaking of specifically. Can you grant root to apps now also? (like wireless tether)

hmm not sure. I'm wired now tethering with pdanet. Plugging a usb cable in isn't a big deal since I only tether with my lappy.

Sprint just raised the unlimited date fee by $10 for ALL smart phones on their network.

But, I just got a Google netbook with free data from Verizon.  Flash doesn't works so well, but I don't use it for anything other than school and reading.

I don't think all carriers allow that.  I don't believe my Aria (AT&T) could install third party apps, but I can't check since I've rooted and installed the liberated Froyo ROM...so basically everything is allowed now.

I tried it several months ago on my laptop (link), but couldn't get the wireless to work. Even then it was very basic and not very mouse friendly.  you could really tell it was meant for touch screen.

Carriers can't block it. It's an integral feature of Android...

Fits nicely in my hands.. and the 4.3 screen size actually makes reading kindle selections reasonable on a phone. I can't imagine going back to a girly sized phone now. I'd rather have my huge penis cut off.

"Droid X users"

also.. "If you try to root the Droid X, it will void the warranty of device."
And since there is no great reason to root, I'll skip.

If you do not mess with the overclocking tools or anything serious like that then you wont mess up your phone. Also if you ever need to send it in then all you need to do is unroot it. Simple.

Just realized one of the flaws of Android: copy/paste. I'm trying to copy a phone number from an email in the Gmail app, and lo and behold I can't.

God, I love my phone but Google really needs to step up their game with 2.4 and 3.0. If there's one thing that iOS has over Android it's the uniformity of functions.
