I thought that that this was about that cover analysis done by Offdutygamers.com...

- That Battlefield 3 Game Cover
In saying this though, let us remember that BC2 was basically a console port and BC2 was the successor of a console only game. I mean, it even had mouse acceleration to start with...Jaekus wrote:
True. All we can do is speculate at the moment, we have very little to go by. Hopefully at NAMM there is some early gameplay to be seen, and give us all a better idea of what's in store.unnamednewbie13 wrote:
Perhaps it will be more like BF2 than BC2; I won't know for sure until I play it. It's just what came to mind when I saw the cover in the OP. I'm not going to pin my hopes on it being a true spiritual successor to BF2 only to have them completely shot out of the sky by dumbed-down BC2 stuff.Jaekus wrote:
Hmm, I'm not so sure. I think Dice have actually (well, hopefully) paid a bit more attention to feedback this time, hence the announcements that prone and jets will be in BF3. It's all speculation of course but that does indicate to me at least that if they're including jets surely the other vehicles will have a look in too.
BF3 is ideally meant to be a PC game first, and they've noted this by saying "PC is lead version". So this gives me some faith in the game that they are basically going to take all the good from BC2 (which is basically the frostbite engine, remade) and *hopefully* spend the rest of the time trying to recapture the gameplay and maps that made BF2 so good to begin with (I'm not talking about it's problems, that's another issue dead and buried).
Still speculation, but something to consider. I'm remaining cautiously optimistic anyway.
So he keeps his wristwatch/compass in a pouch on his belt?
And knee protection on his shin?
WTF is this shit?

Fuck Israel
Its disapointing that they use the same cover. Minimum things were cahnged.
he let that knee pad slide to apply pressure to a field compress on a GSW on his leg, ofcDilbert_X wrote:

The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.
Compare the 1942 cover to BF:Vvenom6 wrote:

I thought that was pretty cool that they didn't change it much.
Don't you mean "welcome to the fold'?War Man wrote:

I'll be getting the boxed version just for the cover.
I'll probably still get the boxed cover. I like having the physical copy of games.Jaekus wrote:

Why would Game Informer break it down and go into detail about that shit? Oh wait, because it's a fucking gaming magazine for boner-for-military 12yo's.
I'm putting money on the fact the BF3 cover is a working design only. It'll change.

The luck of the Irish.
To be sure, to be sure.

Knee Pads don't stay up like they should when your running around doing high pace things. They fall down a lot. They spend more time on your shins than they do your knee's lol.Trotskygrad wrote:

Fuck Steam. Disc all the way. Will get it for defo though many things piss me off what they have said (no commander / killcam etc), people bitched @ BF2, but fuck, even 6 years on it pretty much owns. 64 player maps, choppaz, tear gas / grapple hooks (yeah, both SF but so what), planez and awesome maps. It was still an epic game and what I consider a defining one of my life.
1942 was far more epic than 2. Moving around destroyers, battleships, and submarines(I had bad experiences with people moving carriers). Assaulting a place from land, sea, or air while the music was being played somewhere in your head. Epic dogfights. Being by artillery or bombed by aircraft. 1943 didn't capture the feel of 1942 unfortunately. There needs to be another ww2 BFG that captures the feel and the moment with new classes and weapons of course.

I just hope they're being straight up about it, because once I play it I'm immediately going to see if it compares way more to the one or the other.Jaekus wrote:

Oh yeah, that's a good point.
We need SO much more interior design, in the way of extensive building insides. Different room layouts, etc. Not the same buildings cloned.

I want to bring down buildings taller than three stories.
Go play Red Faction: Guerrilla.Ilocano wrote:

my only concern really is to find a server with none to very few authority figures. insomnia was fun but i don't think they'll be here for bf3.
