I liked 2142's class system. BC2 was a good game but giving the medic a light machine gun and giving assault ammo was completely fucked.
Yeah I also preferred Assault/Medic and Support/LMG
LMG already has a ton of bullets so it isn't as imba giving it unlimited as it is with grenade launcher
Tons of ammo for LMG isn't IMBA at all to begin with.

They could have a commander without including the annoying voice spam...maybe a little quiet blip to alert you to look at your minimap. It can actually be helpful to have a commander. Who do I speak to in order for this to happen?
I honestly don't have problems with this on BF2. Most servers are mature enough that the commander only spots legitimate threats, and people keep rose-dial usage to a minimum. I only see the ENEMY BOAT SPOTTED spam once every 20 games nowadays.
The teamplay aspect of the command tree far outweighs potential trolling.

I liked the flexibility of the class system from BC2. I prefer it over the BF2 system. A lot of you guys seem to have a rose tinted view of BF2. Between here and there the series did make some improvements. A pure completely orthodox sequel to BF2 would be a step back TBH.
I don't mind flexibility, as long as it makes sense. One of my old soapbox complaints was that there wasn't much variety for each class, but my solution was giving each of the seven classes MORE gear choices, not lifting all the gear, trimming several classes and then just stuffing it back in to create the illusion of variety.
