for a fatty you're a serious intellectual lightweight.
I'm pretty sure there hasn't been a better Top Gear episode than the race between the Veyron and the Eurofighter Typhoon, except maybe their entertaining foray in the Deep South.
Did you really find the Typhoon v Veyron race to be the pinnacle of top gear? or are you just trolling?nukchebi0 wrote:

T'was an alright episode.

I loved that focus RS 500
Ye, the confusing thing was though, that Jeremy was going on about the Subaru having turbo lag and such and the focus RS being insanely fast, however the RS got absolutely smoked in the drag race. Nice looking car nonetheless.jord wrote:

If you keep the revs high in a turbo-charged car the lag won't affect that much (As in a drag race; quick shifts, high revs). Turbo lag comes across best (or worst) when you're driving a steady speed and then put the pedal down, especially in lower revs.RDMC wrote:

My boss drives a Mazda CX7 with the 2.4l (or is it 2.5?) Turbo, and the lag is so terrible, it's almost dangerous in slippery weather. The bastard just is asthmatic and gives less torque than if it had a 1.2l NA-engine.
What Clarkson did, was low revs and high gear, just to over-emphasize the lag. I'm sure it's not THAT bad.
In my personal opinion.
I need around tree fiddy.
2.5's in cx7s i think, they've always had to be...different with engines

It's a terrible engine. I get to drive it a bit, and I miss his 2.8 V6 Turbo Vectra every time I do.FatherTed wrote:

probably best to not take Clarkson's reviews seriously

Try taking off in a Turbo-charged aeroplane from 0-90 mph, and not getting the power symmetrical when the Turbo kicks inDonFck wrote:
