Reason I ask is a mate used to have a job installing car stereos, for about 6 years. In that time he learned a LOT about the trade, and when installing mine (which was although decent Pioneer gear, it was second hand) he told me that he read about some magazine that did some listening tests with some of the best sound engineers in New York. They could not tell the difference in quality between a $1,000 system and a $15,000 system of the same wattage and speaker setup and eq.
So a lot of it is wank, IMO. Unless you want a lot of headroom at high volume.

From Nismos friends website, the quality is genuinely impressive and I can pretty much guarantee no other fucker will have one I'm glad I took the risk ordering before it was even made, saved a decent bit of cash and got it very quickly after it did go into production.
Plus I like supporting start-ups, it ain't easy and this guy is definitely putting the effort in, I've worn stuff 5 times the price of this that's not been made this well, and it's just a hoody, Christ knows what the expensive stuff is like
