I don't think Diablo 3 will be as popular as Diablo 2. I'm looking forward to the game, but Blizzard's development time between titles is increasing exponentially, and the hype between Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 just doesn't seem to be present for Diablo 2 to Diablo 3. In my subconscious I'm actually expecting the release date to be pushed to something like late 2012/early 2013.
