So i have BF2, patch 1.50, and i want to unlcok SF kit unlocks. I press 'Community' and 'Custom Games'. It shows two games: Battlefield 2 and Battlefield: Special Forces. I press Battlefield: Special Forces and 'Activate'. It shows that now Battlefield 2 will shut down and restart. It shuts down, and starts..... And black window appears for a while and disappears. That's all. Nothing happens. I'm on deskop again. Can you say how I can fix it or unlock SF kits without starting SF through 'Custom Games'? Please.

If you bought the deluxe edition of BF2 or Special Forces separately, there should be a shortcut in your Start Menu. Try running SF from there instead of the community menu.

How fast is your computer?  If I start up Vanilla and connect to a SF server, it does exactly what you are saying, but it will load up eventually.

Or try EBug's suggestion of:  start: ea games: Special Forces

sounds like your video settings in SF are different from vanilla bf2.
make sure you have the same settings for both games.

Hmm.. So: 1. I bought only BF2, no extra games with it. 2. My computer is quite slow. 3. I don't get it. How i can change my SF video and other settings if i can't launch it? + I've searched trough my computer for Special Forces, and nothing was found. So if i want to unlock those weapons i have to buy SF apart? Or if i have SF in custom games, maybe i could install it form BF2 disc? Sorry i'm not so good in english, i couldn't get what is vannila.

To launch SF, you only have to use the correct command line parameter in your shortcut.
http://wiki.bf2s.com/other/bf2-tips#command-line
Normally, a shortcut to launch SF should be created on your desktop and in your start menu during installation, even with the Deluxe Edition and Complete Collection.

I don't have the game installed, but someone who has, could give you the exact details.

No, that's not necessary.
If all else fails, you could log in with your EA account on a friends computer where SF is installed.
Or in an internet café/LAN club.
Or even let some else, who you trust, use your account to play one round of SF.

'Vanilla' = BF2 (without SF, EF or AF)
As in, vanilla ice cream being the most common and basic ice cream flavor.
