is this game actually good? i haven't played a NFS game since like playstation 2 era.

I really enjoy it, some great fun to be had, takes NFS back to its roots, and doesn't bother with a silly sorry line, it's just pure racing.

Not exactly sim tho, very arcadey, but I like it,

If anyone is considering getting it, get it for consoles, or make sure you have a controller for your PC. Playing it on the PS3 suits me fine, and I can still take screenies

The only good thing I can think of in this game, is that people will thank you for beeing a skycow ferry, rather than just flying your squad somewhere only to bail out and ditch the chopper since in vanilla, it respawns faster than you can go back and pick up other people...

hah yeah, it does have the most team work of any game out there atm. and its fun to play real army

graphics in this game are amazing now. SO much has changed. haven't been this enthused about a change they've made to the game since... well, it was released, 5-6yrs ago. very brave of blizzard to completely shake-up and rehaul everything that has worked for them in the past in favour of a RADICAL departure. gonna miss all those old zones... spent a lot of gaming time in them!

In vanilla, you could find plenty of instances of people preserving the Blackhawks because they were so heavily camped for. It was a devastating machine if your opponents didn't know how to take it out faster than it could be repaired.

I would've much rather seen choppers being wrench-proof while flying than seen the minigun get nerfed.

Yeah, it's where I got my 79 kill streak. Not really because the gun was so dangerous (it was), but the fucking thing was repaired like two dozen times over while flying around the map.
