the military vehicles thing i can deal with, because a bunch of people with fingernails and teeth aren't gonna deal much damage... even superficially. maybe some blood smears and piss and shit would have grunged them up a bit and made them look as though they had been in the midst of it. perhaps the tv company had the tanks on short-term loan from the military

i can forgive the 2-officers thing because that whole sequence was obviously just a plot-device, a prologue for the proper story. basically filler material but needed nonetheless to get the real plot rolling.

also at times i felt like counting how many bullets he had loaded into that revolver at any one time... but i won't be a pedant.
