rewards. Especially if you pipe all of your regular expenses through a a credit card, pay it as you would your regular expenses, except you get a cash reward back, typically like %2. Some people do it for airline miles. Essentially people who pay cash are subsidizing people who get cc rewards.Uzique wrote:
i don't have a credit card... what's the point when you can just afford shit?
run out of money? savings/family.
easier to pay back... no interest... no fucking credit companies chasing you... no shitty credit ratings
there's really just no need to have a credit card before you work full-time
I get what you are saying in this context, its not a milestone or financial achievement.
I get 1% back on my debit card.jsnipy wrote:

If you pay your trip with your MasterCard you get free travel insurance as well I think. You also generally get better exchange rates when doing international payments. My dad often uses his MasterCard when abroad to see how much the trip costs (as he gets a bill in the post).
As long as you have a little self-control it's a nice thing to have tbh, I think the 'risk' is a bit over-rated (not that there is no risk, but I think the chances of going over-board on credit are smaller than people say. But I guess you know yourself better than anyone else.. I know I'd never do it, at least not in my current situation)

You're also better covered against fraud and things fucking up with a credit card, I pay mine off in full each month so it's no different to using my debit in terms of cost.Jenspm wrote:
