This is my (amazing) speed dial.
Yeah I know it's gorgeous you don't need to tell me.
Anyway, I custom edited all those icons and this is what they look like when not in the speed dial (used Warez-bb cause it's relevent to the problem)
So I had to edit Katy's arm etc into the thumbnail image to make it seem like she was on the top layer. But here's where I get stuck. If you look back at the first picture, there's a little darkened border around the icon.
So my question is, is there any way of making the effected areas lighter, so when they're behind the border, it reverts back to normal brightness, and looks like it's on the top layer?
