it still might, if you add the entry. any IPv4 address needs to be resolved, and if it's private, the hosts file should do it where the nameservers can't.

192.168 is a private network address.... We'd need the ip address coming into your router and a dedicated port.

I was on Hamachi with Miggle though, figured it'd be able to connect through local IP 'cause Hamachi spoofs a lan.

Finray you tit you have to use the hamachi IP adress (usually 5.xxx.xxx.etc) because hamachi works as a seperate network adapter as far as windows is concerned...
