More installation detailsBattlefield 2142 v1.51 is available for public beta from Friday 17th September at 10am UK/11am Europe/2am West Coast and run all weekend. Not only does the update contain numerous client and server side fixes including enhanced account security, it also includes Northern Strike FREE for all Battlefield 2142 players as well as 4 brand new maps.
- Operation Blue Pearl – Supply Lines by Björn Sundell and Jason Brice
- Strike at Karkand 2142 – Conquest by Jason Brice
- Molokai – Titan by Jason Brice
- Yellow Knife – Supply Lines by Jason Brice
The client will be available to download from www.Fileplay.net and all players should install v1.50 BEFORE trying to install v1.51.
The purpose of this Beta is to test server stability and let you see the new content. If the servers hold up to the stress test this version will become the release version that everyone will have. We'll try to reduce the need to do a reinstall should that change.
Thanks to everyone at Combat Testing for their help getting v1.51 to a Public Beta state.
First signs of the file will be at Fileplay as mentioned above and when activated tomorrow morning, will be available here.
Bookmark it, keep it, get ready to download it.

Maybe it became a historical war memorial site after the 2007 hostilities.NooBesT wrote:

After playing tons of BFBC2, I don't know if I can go back to only being able to sprint 15 feet at at time, when the maps are twice the size!

Bazajaytee said that if nothing serious arises, it'll be the final version.
But serious bugs have already arisen, so most likely there'll be another version.
Also note, you need to switch a registry key around to be able to play online with v1.50 again after you've applied 1.51.
Forget what I said there!thepilot91 wrote:

hi ^_^
Okay, I tried 1.51 beta and honestly I wasn't all that impressed. The map with the statue of liberty is missing and strike at karkand isn't being hosted, or it doesn't really exist. I played what was once my favorite map, Operation Blue Pearl, and it's nice that the sea is frozen now (no more Eryx noobing). The buildings are too big and different to be Blue Pearl, and there's not enough CQB, just a lot of hiding bull crap.
My first experience with Operation Blue Pearl wasn't all that exciting. Infantry only was disabled first of all, so I got tired of commanders in tanks and walkers fighting me with their sneaky squad leader I did overpower them even though we lost all the flags 22:7 not bad
The spankin' new maps aren't really all that exciting. I did like sniping (as a medic) idiots who were trying to cap our flag. And I did enjoy sniping people near their flag instead of trying to cap it. I didn't care about team work because I was just trying to look for bugs and my team wasn't wise enough to squad up and work together (or with me ). That Hawaii map is kinda weird
The Baur is pretty ridiculous now. It seems like they made the bullets weaker but made it more accurate with less recoil. Kinda silly if you ask me, but I guess it wasn't really effective before It reminds me of what they did to the SCAR 11 before I started playing the retail version and after everyone else was playing it. Now everyone uses the Baur H-AR. I'd rather use the Voss instead. Or better yet, stock weapons
I think I'll just uninstall it until 1.51 final comes out, or until I can get a non-crappy HDD again, whichever comes firstI think this is the funniest thing I've heard all year. You would think that they'd clear up the train accident in 100+ years.

Jak I don't mean to sound like a "Nazi" but you should actually contribute something instead of just quoting a long reply and putting nothing but a smiley there.
Anyway, I tried Strike at Karkand. I guess it could be fun. The map itself is less gay than the original, but I had a really bad experience with the people I played with. When 1 or 2 other players was there, one of them became commander, so naturally I had to do the same; he was a total coward. He was in a tank and kept running away from me instead of trying to kill me. He eventually found a speeder so he could run away faster and try to snipe me with TV missiles. He wasn't even smart enough to destroy all my commander assets until like 25 minutes later. When the round finally started (people piled in from one of the other two servers), I had to deal with their cowardly commander who wasn't able to defeat me in a tank or a speeder. This time, I couldn't concentrate on his chicken tactics because I was dealing with armor whores and trying to kill infantry.

Is this patch out of beta yet or what?
There's no news on it since the beta came out like three or four weeks ago that I can find.
