By most powerful, the teacher is implying pure destructive force, cost of property damage, and potential for greatest human loss. Personally, I find tornadoes to be the most kickass, just because of how they look. They probably aren't the most destructive, though. Anyone seen or lived through a truly awe inspiring disaster?
