someone buy my warlock account
it wont be worth shit today... you shoulda sold it in vanilla days
nothing is exclusive really, anymore... leveling is fast and easy... so the value of accounts has decreased.
my r14 rogue account was quoted £750 a few years ago. nearly a grand for a character... jesus.
but i still didn't do it because it would have worked out as like 0.50p/hour.

just go play if you're bored, jesus. it's a game. it's not gonna rape your girlfriend and burn down your house.
and think of all the hours and good times you spent on it... you wanna pawn them off to some china-man for £25?

I made it to lvl 30 in vanilla
some days me and my mates would get home from school and all get online straightaway, then excitedly talk about what we discovered and did the night before. the magic and awe of playing your first properly immersive MMO, especially when you're a teen schoolkid... everyone in my school was playing it at one point, hipsters and dweebs alike. wow - the ultimate social levellerbaggs wrote:

I started playing this game back during TBC and only hit 70 at around the start of Arena season #3. I was sorta a scrub back than only ever doing like karazhan and ZA. But with the gear reset of wotlk i found myself into a raiding guild a some pretty cool people who happened to be half decent at playing WoW.
Ive been in the same guild for all of WOTLK and we are currently 11/12 heroic Icc 25(Sindragosa 20% buff and heroic PP 25%) with our best attempt at heroic LK was at around 50%. The game is not a huge time commitment and i like that. We only raid 9 hours a week and we are not some super hardcore guild that cares about being the best but at least i get to see all of the content.
I couldnt imagine playing WoW during Vanilla.. I hear many many players comment on how vanilla wow was so much harder and that it was much more "Epic" feeling. Farming mobs in EPL for 2 months to save the 1000g to buy epic ground mount doesnt sound like fun to me.
But i think that the game now is WAY too casual friendly you can literally go from fresh level 80, 2 days later 5000gs (lol gs), maybe 2-3 weeks after that you can have some rocking gear from farming the first 6 boss in ICC pugs every week.

it was more like 2 weeks in tyr's hand, as soon as you had the gear to be able to effectively solo the mobs for the silver-drop...
and it was awesome having to farm 12 piece tiers in 40-man raids... and then having to farm a nature set too \o/
the game just took so much more dedication. epic items felt epic. legendary items were server-wide legendary events.

TBC was in my opinon, a happy medium between Nilla and WoTLK. It had easy gear to get for the casual players and it had amazing epic gear that took months of raiding to get. For the harder instances like MH and BT you had to get attuned, which for some people wasn't worth it, but for the elite players they did it, and they defeated some of the hardest bosses in the game only a hand full of times. Very few guilds had MH or BT on farm, in fact it was almost impossible to do so. Same with TK, Kael was a major bitch fight.

in retrospect tbc was quite a quality expansion but, for some unclear reason, i just didn't 'enjoy' it... the game lost its feeling of epic-scale and awe. everything felt more accessible and more easy to attain, the playstyle and 'demands' of the game slackened off a lot- even for the 'hardcore' content. the fact that there was a lot of content for casuals wasnt a 'bad' thing, as such, it's just the fact that all the items they were practically 'given' were epic-quality instead of blue... so the entire item system shifted towards casual-style and just got devalued. epics stopped feeling like 'epic' achievements and genuine, rare drops... walking around shattrath and seeing everyone in full purple just completely changed your perception of the game. also the fundamental overhaul of the PvP system meant i had effectively wasted a lot of time playing in the old system. the arena competition just felt like a lame cash-in on esports popularity. it wasn't very good for an MMO... like a poor copy of guild wars.

Thats how i felt when WoTLK took off. 4 months in I was seeing some straight up horrendous players with gear i have yet to see, and i still could out tank and out DPS them.

Destickied due to low activity. Will restick when this game picks up again.
Anyone have comments on the changes made to the game? The next expansion will hit in a month.
People still play this game ?

"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
The game has a low skill ceiling but it is very very fun to play with friends
