I've recently fallen in love with the hybrids.. I have an H2 and H3, and they're brilliant to play off the fairway and off the tee - a cross between a wood and an iron.
Both are Callaway, love 'em. Be sure to get them with a stiff shaft if you do, else they get very wippy.

edit - Adam Scott used a hybrid when he won the Texas Valero Open earlier this year, Jim Furyk used one winning the Transitions Championship. Hardly players with swing issues. Rory McIlroy has also had a run with the hybrids iirc, and he has one of the best swings in the game.

i'm horrible at golf. i tried to play for a year, but i could never hit the long clubs very well. my putting and short game weren't too bad though. i should take a lesson.
