i will say, i can hit the site when i change my DNS to google (8.8.8.8.8) i cain't see it from opendns . . .

liquidat0r, in win 7 you have to run notepad as "admin" to save the changes to the host file.

liq: @burnzz well ok, idk, i turned of UAC or w/e it's called anyway.

I've kept my DNS' the same but just added the ip into my host file, it's worked non-stop for me.

It's not really anything to do with BF2S' server. It's a DNS problem, as you identified.

A temporary fix, until the issues resolve themselves is to add an entry to your hosts file or change your DNS servers.

Making changes to your hosts file shouldn't really be recommended, but meh.

hosts file:

- C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
- Open "hosts" with Notepad / any text editor
- Add "66.221.114.28 forums.bf2s.com" to the bottom of the file"
- Save

Notes:
- You might need to mark the hosts file as not being read only, before you can edit it
- There is no file extension for the hosts file

DNS:

- See here: http://i31.tinypic.com/2d1l6ht.png
- I've used Google's DNS
- Could try opendns too
- Can also change it on your router settings

After doing either of those you might have to:

- win key + R (or Start -> "Run", etc)
- cmd
- ipconfig /flushdns

Google can answer any questions you have
