Apparently my machine is just under spec, needs a 3.2GHz P4, I have a 3.0GHz.

Also
2Gb Ram
9500GT 512MB
Win XP

Runs COD4 MW OK

Will it run or just spit it out? I'm not too bothered about mega frame rates, prob just play SP anyway.

I ran it just fine on

P4 3 GHz
2 GB RAM
Ati X1950GT

Almost the same as yours so you should be ok, I had no lag (I even played on some high details + 1920x1080). The engine seems really forgiving.

Perhaps not then, almost all the cvars are blocked in MW2, you can't do much aside from dropping everything to low in the graphics menu.
