Nah, when you factor in breaks to recharge the cloak when you run compared to the slower speed with crouching, it's practically the same.DefCon-17 wrote:

And anyone who crouch walks is a idiot, it drains regardless of speed, so it takes as long crouch walking as it does running.
i like cnd because i think it does make a good escape tool (or a good tricking device) + you can actually "spy" on people and report to your team about the threat
It's the Scout's job to report "enemy movement."
The Spy's job is to create tension in the other team, and to distract them, making it easier for your team to wipe them.
Crouch-walking is pointless/dumb.

That's my (and Trotsky's) point.Finray wrote:

I'd prefer constant walking than having to wait for a recharge and risking running out at an inopportune moment.DefCon-17 wrote:

There's more to playing Spy than just being invisible.
it's the scout's job to report enemy movement...?
what the fuck
it's the scout's job to kill enemies, specifically killing important enemies, usually while they're busy with his other teammates. That's how you play scout.

Yes, I'm well aware of that, but I'm talking about when you are being invisible...DefCon-17 wrote:

i never realised classes had specific jobs, i thought they were all united in performing one objective and thats beating the other team

When Scouts reach mid, they're just supposed to be dead quiet on the mic and gun straight for the Medic.

You're confusing TF2 with MW2.Kez wrote:

I think DefCon is mistaking the CND for the default watch, CND cannot replenish via ammo crates... and cloak runs out faster but can replenish while you are invisible and standing still..DefCon-17 wrote:

Meh, you try playing a open map like cp_orangeX and make it to the enemy end without CNDDefCon-17 wrote:

Riflesnipers > bowfags.
And I'd like to throw my "lol" in too @ orange maps.

#1: Anti-Engy
#2: Anti-Sniper
#3: Anti-Medic
And I miss my bow, despite my hate for the bowfags.
And orange is a OK map, not very balanced though.
sigh...DefCon-17 wrote:

Riflesniping is just so homosexual.
If you have anything that resembles any form of skill you can stand in your base away from everything and pick off headshots ruining the game for everyone else...
Hell I've taken up using sniper rifle for pissing other people off -.-

Yeah, standing back and randomly spamming arrows hoping someone will run into one takes so much skill.FloppY_ wrote:

I'm not saying they can't tell their own team any useful information they have, I'm saying that a scout's primary role is something else, you dumb fuck. What an utterly fucking contrived argument.DefCon-17 wrote:

Actually, the Scout's primary role is covering flanks.Lucien wrote:

How about actually deciding on what you want to prove before you try and get into an argument about itDefCon-17 wrote:

Primary job = covering flanks.
Important job = reporting on the enemy team's whereabouts.
Something the Scout does occasionally but isn't a "job/role" = Taking out key targets.
Gotta love having to break things down into bite-sized bits for people to understand.
