I had 'it' done 2 years ago for the exact same reason. I'm 21 now. It wasn't as wonderful an experience as I had imagined for the first two weeks or so, but barring the pain in my dick I had a great outcome. You could probably get away with using steroid creams and whatnot but personally I couldn't be bothered to dick around with all that. Also fwiw, I have experienced zero decrease in sensation but afaik that varies from person to person.
