Well I got it the very first day it came out. For the first week I would try and play it but spent half the time trying to get into the server and the other half trying to stay in it. Got frustrated and stopped playing. Is it any better now?

It's a lot of fun if you only use the Carl Gustav. I now see what I've been missing out on. This game is super fun again.
I havn't played it since the release date... since it was just as buggy as the beta.
Game is pretty lame though, it's way too noob friendly.. you can get points for going AFK....

Well..nowadays it is pretty much a battle between m60 wielding medics, Carl Gustav spamming Engi's, 40mm spamming Assault fags and sniper mortar strikes.
I wouldn't say that is noob friendly. Yeah you can get points pretty easily, but this is to encourage actual teamwork rather than just people going out for a frag fest.JohnJohnson747 wrote:

You will get more points playing as a team while killing rather that just playing solo for the kills.
Yeah it kinda sucks just now with all this going on. I don't really mind so much about the m60, 40mm or mortar strikes, but the CG is way to dominating just now.RDMC wrote:

I think they need to either remove the extra rockets you get from the "Explosive Leg Pouch" specialisation so that the guys with the CG only have 2 rockets before then having to get ammo, OR remove the "Improved Demolitions" specialisation so that the CG doesnt have such a good splash damage capability, OR improve the "Ceramic Body Army" specialisation against the CG so that you at least have a chance without a direct hit against you.
lol.RDMC wrote:

More like Sniper knife fags. (Mortar isn't that bad tbh, like artillery in BF2)

I choose the latter one, since that doesn't affect the CG's ability to effectivly combat vehicles, yet still give infantry more protection.theDude5B wrote:

Should have been on my clanserver yesterday..4/5 were snipers, on fucking Arica Harbor (Shit map tbh) all I heard was bullets flying past me, and occasionally hitting me, which buggered the shit out of me. And whenever there weren't any bullets zooming around, you can surely expect an incoming mortar strike..I think nearly 90% of the houses (Destructable houses) were raised to the ground..Trotskygrad wrote:

But seriously, it's still like Artillery in BF2, except it's for a shorter period of time. Thing is, buildings are destructible, -.-
ok I dont think you realize how dumb you just sounded. Why would they nerf a whole perk for one weapon? If they where going to nerf something let it be the CG because then it doesn't impact engys actually trying to take tanks down because everyone knows AT4>all for anti tanktheDude5B wrote:

All they would have to do to the CG is make it either deal 99 unmodified damage (instead of 100) or reduce it's splash radius. Personally, I don't see people abusing the weapon all that often so I don't think it really needs a nerf. I've seen maybe five people using it exclusively over the past month and the majority of the people bitching about them have been snipers hiding in the weeds or noob tubers who feel cheated out of a kill so f them.

Yeah see I can do insults too.
But anyway, to answer your question, they would nerf a while perk for one weapon because right now that one weapon is making a lot of people get really pissed off at the moment. BC2 seems to have turned into Quake n Arena or what ever it was called. I am not saying the SHOULD do any of these things, but I don't think that they should nerf the actual weapon.
The "Explosive Leg Pouch" should have additional rockets anyway cause have you seen a fucking rocket? No way you would be able to walk about with them strapped to your legs.
To me a "Demolitions" = C4 and not Rockets, so could easily be changed.
"Ceramic Body Armor" well that is just an option.
Problem is you have no idea what you are talking about or have even a remote understanding as to how the game actually works.theDude5B wrote:

The Carl Gustav rocket does 100 damage to infantry and has a maximum blast radius of 8 meters. It has a minimum lethal blast radius of 4.8 meters. This means that anyone within 4.8 meters of where it lands will take 100 damage. Anyone between 4.8 and 8 meters will take less damage.
A person wearing body armor would take 75 damage inside the blast and survive.
If the engineer were to equip increased explosive damage perk, the rocket would deal 125 damage inside it's circle, negating the body armor. It also extends the lethal blast radius to 5.44 meters against non-armored targets. In order to do this, the engineer has to trade off on magnum ammo and/or body armor making them much easier to kill when they are stuck reloading, which takes a long time to do.
For comparisons sake:
RPG-7 - min of 2m, max of 6m
CG - min of 4.8m, max of 8m
AT4 - min of 0.6m, max of 3m
The tradeoff is the AT4 deals more damage to tanks than either of the former and is guided, the RPG-7 deals more damage to tanks than the CG.
In summary, if you're getting raped by people with rockets either you, or your team sucks because it's easy to kill them as they're reloading and if they're sitting in a bush somewhere sniping with the rockets they aren't exactly doing much to help their team win. Keep moving, don't stand still and treat them like you do snipers. Ignore them or go on a knifing spree.
Edit - Frankly, I'm all about the CG because it's the easiest/quickest way to clear out a building full of campers.

Really it's easy to snipe the Gustov abusers. I've played around with it a few times, and it's fun every once and a while. But if you want to get rid of them just shoot them in the head! They stand pretty still when they're trying to snipe you with their rocket.
I wish everyone would quit talking about nerfing though... gawww... Let's just turn all of the weapons into water balloons.. Yeah there we go! Problem solved!

In debate or rhetoric, a slippery slope (sometimes misstated as thin edge of the wedge, or the camel's nose) is a classical informal fallacy. A slippery slope argument states that a relatively small first step inevitably leads to a chain of related events culminating in some significant impact, much like an object given a small push over the edge of a slope sliding all the way to the bottom.[1] The fallacious sense of "slippery slope" is often used synonymously with continuum fallacy, in that it ignores the possibility of middle ground and assumes a discrete transition from category A to category B. Modern usage avoids the fallacy by acknowledging the possibility of this middle ground.Minion wrote:

It's funny how snipers also stand still when they're trying to snipe you. I my ass off when I outsnipe one with the gustav.

Where in any of my posts did I start to waffle on about the individual statistics for damage and radius?
Also, I never said once that me, or my team were being raped by the CG. Me and my team, the EU bf2s.com guys are the ones who win the games and end up best squad 9/10 in the games we play.
