Maxwell was outstanding in the first leg, from the bits I watched anyway

Yeah he did play well, I was surprised to see him on the bench but then again he couldn't keep up with Walcott who starts. So I guess it makes sense.

United need to win 1-0 or by two goals to avoid extra time/not progressing.

If it is 3-2, 4-3 etc Bayern will go through as away goals count double.

mhm, i'd love to see what it'd be like if we had fabregas, song, gallas, and van persie back.
i think song was the big difference here. he man marked messi in the first leg and kept him relatively quiet, missed him here and the difference shows on the score sheet

made me lol, feel quite sorry for Arsenal. As Andy Gray said if you list Arsenal's injuries it's like half the first team... oh well.

lol, injuries have done us over this year. we just don't have a striker. not trying to make excuses, they outplayed us, but we were missing half the team + the heart of the team.

Alves was outstanding tonight for me, really stepped up when Barca were missing Puyol and Pique.

Just saw Messi's fourth on the highlights, outstanding how he kept his nerve to finish that, that's what Arsenal missed tonight, someone comfortable infront of the goal.

Also inb4Zimmer MESSSSSSSSSSIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

Edit: You've Eduardo and Bendtner, I don't rate any of them though, same with United Macheda, Berbatov, Owen, Welbeck can't lead the line at United.

yeah but you have that guy, uh. what's his name? wayne rooney oh yeah. fine he's out now, but he's been there for the whole season. we've missed RVP so much it's unbelievable.

eduardo's been shit since his injury, bendtner is just shit, don't rate him at all. he's too slow and sluggish. i think wenger should let them go and bring in Carlton Cole & Maroune Chamak

Pedro is fucking shit. I've seen Bojan score some goals but I don't see the hype about him. Ibrahimavic is ok, but Eto was way better. Their star players are still Messi/Iniesta/Xavi and Alvez. Barcelona are beatable, but today Arsenal couldn't deal with Messi.

Anyway I can't see Inter beating them and I can't see any of the other teams beating them, if it's a repeat of Barca vs Man Utd then Man Utd are going to get raped even worse this time around

Messi just couldn't be stopped. His first goal was a tad of luck, the rest were just pure genius from the little man.

Arsenal did a fantastic job of containing Barcelona, truly fantastic.

Messi is close to already being the greatest player ever. But, and it's a big but, he needs to perform on the international stage still. Plenty of time left in his career to do that, but a shitty Argentine squad will probably let him down. Imagine if this guy was Spanish.

If Messi was Spanish would there be any point in a world cup?
