ExquisiteDeth86: is still a BF2 Gunnery Sgt.; +16|6877|H3ITWP

I came here to find information about patches, since I think I'm running 1.0.1, or something close. All of these threads are ancient, and I can't find up to date information.

1. What is the latest available patch?
2. Where can i get it?

Also, whenever I try to hit Caps Lock to bring up my Command screen, it minimizes the game and I go back to desktop. Is this due to having an old-ass version of the game? A finger-point in the right direction would be great and appreciated. Thanks!

Over four years since Battlefield 2 launched comes the latest update, version 1.50 which is available to download NOW!

Before you install the 1.5 update, download and install the 1.41 patch. Many people find that only installing 1.5 renders the game unable to run.

Save it somewhere on your hard drive just in case. Do the same for 1.41.

Yes you ABSOLUTELY need 1.41 installed before you install 1.5.
Both patches are .exe so just run them.

You will lose your joystick settings (FU Novint Falcon) and your keyboard/mouse settings will most likely be reset.
You can mitigate the keyboard/mouse setting loss by saving a copy of your .con files and then overwritting the files the patches install.
The joystick fuck up (thanks DICE) requires you to redo your joystick set up.
