I just started playing dawn of war 2 and I'm lost(why the fuck do they not have a tutorial?) Anyway how do you increase zeal power?

Are you talking about single or multiplayer? I think Zeal is just a multiplayer thing and I've played about 3-4 games online so I don't know.

I guess I wasn't as much use as I thought I was.

However from the manual (Steam is so handy in this regard. Right click DoW2 > View Player Manual) says the following:

Global Abilities - Each race has a global resource earned in battle by
fighting, capturing points, killing, and dying. This global resource of Space
Marine Zeal, Ork Waaagh!, Eldar Psychic Might, or Tyranid Biomass can be
used to activate powerful global abilities which can be used at anytime
anywhere revealed in the fog of war.

And that's it. It is the only mention of the word zeal in the whole manual.
