The amount of light outside has no indication of what time of day it is in Iceland, and it's just more convenient to follow GMT.

Also, we don't use DST.

Venezuela uses -4:30 UTC
Sometimes in Canuck they use -3:30 in places
Iran uses +3:30
Afghanistan uses +4:30
India uses +5:30
Nepal uses +5:45
Burma uses +6:30
Middle Australia uses +9:30 in some places or some shit

and "Chatham Islands" uses +12:45

What's funny is that China (PRC) uses the same +8:00 timezone everywhere in the country, even in the far Western regions. So if you cross from Afghanistan into China you go from +4:30 to +8:00 by just crossing a land border
