They (piranhas) will give you stitches if you don't know how to take them off.
Salt water bay + deepsea annually in the gulf of mexico
relaxing as hell
except when the waves are 12ft high and your boat is 6
then you try not to puke for 6 hours

burnzz I was snorkeling once and I turned and had a barracuda right in my face. I shat brix. I was told that my mask attracted them because it had a shine to it. I was lucky, those things are insanely fast.

seen too many great whites.
When ever you fly over Tampa bay you see how many sharks there are and cringe. Florida definitely leads the pack when it comes to shark attacks. Odds are still incredibly low though.
As far as freshwater, I was wake boarding once and was chased by a gator (after I busted).. fyi, November is a bad month to be in a Florida lake.

i don't really remember...it isn't too hard. the main thing you have to get used to is not actually putting macho muscle into it, just letting your wrist do the work. that and not getting flies snagged in brush behind youandrooz wrote:

"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
lmao, insane.Kmarion wrote:

floridas got a lot of bull sharks i think and shark attacks happen more often because the shelf or whatever is closer to the shore. smaller than great whites but the most vicious. some county in florida has like the most attacks out of anywhere lol.
out in cali ive spotted a few easily 20 footer great whites probably 4,000 pounds, northern cal. and off of LA beaches.
Think fishing is fun? Try spearfishing.
we saw a guy spearfishing in Hawaii.:ronin:.|Patton wrote:

I fish, I'm going ice fishing tomorrow morning for some perch actually. First time this year, probably going to be really slow, but whatever.
I fish for walleye and perch mostly. I do a lot of catch and release bass fishing. I also trout and salmon fish.
Early October we caught some nice salmon.

43lb bull dolphin caught about 8 miles off islamorada, fl
i dont even bother with freshwater anymore besides a little trout fishing here and there up in north ga. offshore is where its at fasho
I've done some in my day. Always enjoyable.
just found this thread... im a fishing fanatic. freshwater, saltwater, spinning, fly gear, i do it all. i live right on lake erie so it's usually walleye and perch for me, but in the summer there are good bass to be had, tons of fat smallmouths. and we get a good run of steelhead in the winter and spring. (this is why i am steelie!)
here's the little lady at a friend's house in ny:
releasing a 28" fish. probably the 3rd or 4th biggest steelhead i've caught
can you see the fish?
because i did

Nice Tarpon. Can't eat em' though as thought they're protected and wouldn't really be worth it anyways. Parentals have a 40' Ocean yacht and a 19' key west (they live in the Keys). Moms caught a 300lb Marlin on 50lb test (Pops driving) a week ago. After the big chill a few weeks ago thousands of fish died off and they were trolling a little closer to land than normal (bigger fish were eating free and easy). Fought for a little less than 2 hours. Catch and release. Pops also landed a monster wahoo that day along with several black tuna. I fish too, my biggest was a halibut in Kodiak Alaska when I was 13~180lbs. Dolphin are a blast to catch as well. You can take a whole school of them if you know what you're doing. Lobstering and scalloping are fun to as well as spearfishing grouper. I don't really fish much where I live now, but whenever I head south -it's on.Ultrafunkula wrote:

Where at on Lake Erie? I live on right on the Northern end, literally right in the middle of the Niagara River, so I'm in like prime location for almost all freshwater fishsteelie34 wrote:

Live near Portland so there's always the Columbia river. But I live about 5 minutes from a nice little lake that gets stocked with trout almost every week. Problem is there's no water crafts allowed, so anytime you start catching some trout you can expect 10 dipshits to start using lures and tie up every ones lines
Does that only include motorized or can you not use float tubes and stuff too?NateWiese wrote:
