Obviously some peeps like games that others don't, so I'm wondering what your most overrated games ever are and why? No flaming, just give your reasons yeh?
For me (I know these are quite recent games, I'm sure there're some older ones but these are the most obvious at the mo'):
1) Mass Effect. OK it had some mildly diverting super powers and stuff but it sucked cos a) graphics were duuuulll, b) side quests were just the same shit on the same maps again and again. I mean the same space station on every fuckin planet? Yeah real imaginative. c) NO the plot wasn't brilliant, it was sci-fi lite bullcrap, only slightly better than Star Wars ep i-iii. Please read some good books if you want a decent story, don't play this game. d) after a while...nothing new happened. Half the powers were useless or blatantly worse than others/unnecessary. Locations boring. Plot petered out. Couldn't give a rats ass about Sheperd frankly, never mind his fuckin alien bitches. ewwww.
2) Fallout 3. OK the graphics were great for this one, but seriously, what kind of game has you maxing out the level cap after a few hours playing side quests and before you even get a third of the way through the main quest? Plus, tbh, while impressive at first the locations were pretty similar again. Rinse and repeat. VATS was quite nice. DL content pretty much sucked balls. If it cost 20 bucks for everything it's worth it, otherwise forget it.
3) Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Sucky SP plot, MP filled with 10-year old idiots, no mute all option, constant campers, kill streak awards bullshit.
