Unless he already has and is using a laptop/2nd PC, that's the only logical explanation I can give as to why he's still online on bf2s
Regardless, no one needs or even wants to know how his scan is progressing. It's his own fault for being stupid enough to run an unknown .exe allowing someone to access his pc. Even more so, still staying connected to the internet allowing whoever is accessing it to carry on. The first thing anyone with some iota of mental horsepower would do is disconnect that computer from the only means the "hacker" has of accessing it.

Maybe it's not him, but the hacker making all these posts.
I think it has been made clear 10 posts (just before you came in with your e-penis erect) that the scanning problem persists even after disconnecting from the internet.
my email is in my profile, hit me up whenever you like to go out for some coffee.

Metal I can't make this any clearer, if you still can't remove it, then reformat like others have said. And no I wouldn't like to go out for coffee, especially with you Phillip.
lmfao. so basically, as im seeing it, you have never contracted a virus on your computer? amazing man, how do you do it? plz let me knowThe Sheriff wrote:

Reformat is only the last resort, I have files in there.
will you go away now.
I can see myself becoming more retarded the longer I carry on arguing with you, figure it out on your own then genius.
I've never had any malware affect my computer. Ever.Metal-Eater-GR wrote:

This is a forum, not your blog. You asked what you should do, people told you. Now do it.

so he's still not bothered to see if anyone is fucking with him via a wireless keyboard...

I'd format, but only after sending a nasty email to my ISP. They are supposed to also have firewalls in place to stop this from happening.
Although this problem most likely was contributed to by the main user.

Guys, get off his ass. If this had been posted in the tech section (like it really should have been), then no one would be giving him shit about it. As it is, he posted it where the rest of the forum can see it and instead of actually helping him, you're all trashing him.
Grow the fuck up.

This wouldn't happen in Australia, the filters will saves us.AussieReaper wrote:

Um, good for you?Buckles wrote:

My "blog"? According to your definition of "blogs", every troubleshooting thread in tech should be labeled "little blog" and be deleted. Honestly I can't understand what is everyones problem here. I made this thread so I could share an ingame experience and when I saw the problem had evolved further I made a thread in EE promoting this one, knowing that not many techies frequent the source forums.
Fuck, i'm not excusing to you guys. Buckles, are you mad at me because I had a go at your buddy sheriff or is it because this thread bothers you so unbearably? It is simple. If the context of the thread does not interest you, DO NOT COMMENT ON IT. I'm not breaking any rules, fuck off back to EE chat and don't bother me again.
Did you solve it or are you still carrying on surfing the internet while someone fucks with you?
I'm currently on my sis pc downloading the boot CD so I can reformat. But thanks for the interest.
You have a backdoor.
Spybot can probably remove it if you haven't formatted already.
Also, change all your passwords. They have them.

^It found a bunch of programs, but it didn't work. I'm coming to the conclusion that the said hacker is actually a virus, and I can now trigger it manually by pressing ctrl and right click.
Fed up trying to fix it myself, i'm reformatting tomorrow. Sorry if I upset anyone.

Good luck.
We have a virus on my brothers PC here and it seems impossible to get rid of it. I've gone through huge step by step guides on how to clean a PC, involving turning off system restore, downloading all sorts of software, cleaning this, removing that.
At the end of the day when I thought i'd finally got rid of it guess what, an alert comes up saying the virus is still there.
We're just waiting on his external hard drive to arrive for backups then its a format here too.

Would be as simple as hooking up the wireless keyboard to a different machine to see if the same behavior occurs there too.
If so, there's probably some 24/7 FPS gamer somewhere in your vicinity with a very powerful wireless antenna on his keyboard.
Most likely someone with a 1000" screen who has to sit a 20 meters away from it.
Look out for buildings with very large living rooms and EM fields around them that let your hair stand on end. Literally.
If you can trigger it yourself, are you sure your keyboard isn't just malfunctioning? Using anything that can run macros?Metal-Eater-GR wrote:

If you want, you can get HijackThis, post the log, and i'll check it out.
Also, AVG is a decent scanner that might find it, if it's actually a virus.

Just make sure it is not carried onto the external. A friend of mine did the same, got rid of the virus on his notebook after some reformatting hassle and then plugged it right back into his system over the externalSpidery_Yoda wrote:

I've ran a scan with BitDefender as advised, it found some trojans but the virus is still here. I've said i've tried using a wired keyboard, the problem still persists.
I'm sending you the hijack this log.
I left the damn pc dawnloading the bood CD overnight, and all it got to was 51%
