I'm looking for a game to play with my friends (3-4 people).

To give you an idea of the general consensus:

CoH is frickin fun, but we've played it out.
CoD6 is not worth anything like $60 each.
Borderlands is not worth $50 each.
We'll get raped too hard if we try to pick up SC this late in the game.
TF2 doesn't have a big teamwork aspect because it's difficult to stay together when you die.
Don't have enough people to scrim 1.6 again.

Maybe AA?

Yeah killing floor lasted me and my mates about 2 hours. By then we were done.

I've been informed that the online play for borderlands is almost unplayable. Though that might just be our shitty internet. The single player is very enjoyable though.

Borderlands online lags like hell. Me and a friend are playing regularly and it is annoying. Apart from the one hosting, all others can´t hit shit. It´s bearable when playing as soldier or berserker, but being a hunter is just plain frustrating. You have to compensate for movement and lag, making it almost impossible to anything that´s not directly coming at you with a sniper rifle.
And we do got good internets.
It is great fun with friends in MP though.

footman frenzy is something that my mates and I always can fall back to. (warcraft 3)

Supreme Commander can be fun with a group of friends.

Maybe find an MMO to play together?
