So I'm trying to restore some of my steam games. Keeps asking for my cd key. I've entered one for Warhammer and Fallout3 nothing works.

Search the knowledge base/contact Steam support would probably be your best bet.
Are you sure you're using the correct login, the one you bought the games on? It won't work with any other.
I don't understand (precisely) what the problem is. Could you post a screenshot?
He's trying to install from a backup, and when he does so it pops up saying "Please enter CD key". He bought them from the Steam store, so has no CD key.Spidery_Yoda wrote:

Definitely using the correct login. Thing is I installed Fallout3 from it a few weeks ago it didn't ask for a cd key. I've searched the steam forums one person has posted the same problem no one answered.
Did you contact steam support?
