I'm so sick of uploading a 180x60 pixel avatar then it not being fucking saved and my old avatar shrinks or whatever.

Stupid fucking BF2s system I like the TGN way you just upload something and it automatically sizes it.

Anyway I'm looking around online to figure out how to use this GIMP piece of shit, if any of you know any good guides I'd appreciate the help. The piece of crap is overly complicated.

Anyway, I'm trying to make a sig and an avy but it's not working out.

Need any more info?

What's your problem? I never bashed BF2s in this thread! All I said was the BF2s avatar system wasn't good compared to others I've used.

You seem quite anxious to get rid of me.

I'm kindly asking for help, I'm pissed but I'm not raging at anybody as you've mentioned.

BF2s stores only one avatar per user, for example the URL to yours is http://forums.bf2s.com/img/avatars/9789.gif. If you upload another, it'll become the same URL. Your browser sees this as the same picture, so does not re-download it, to save time and bandwidth. Problem is, if your previous avatar was 100x60, and your new one is 180x60, it'll stretch the old avatar to the new avatar size. (Not sure why it does this, perhaps Zim/liq would be able to tell us).

Clearing the cache gets rid of the picture the browser has stored for the url http://forums.bf2s.com/img/avatars/9789.gif and will re-download it.

If you're still having issues after Ctrl+F5

Delete Avatar
Wait
Click Submit
Upload avatar
Click Submit
Then do Ctrl+F5 if you don't see your new avatar.
