Damn, the last level of The Parish on expert must be insane to get through.
Fun times. Got 3 achievements yesterday. Almost got 4. 1 mudman short of Dead in the water achivo.
Finally got round to playing it with DU. It was great, to be honest. 3 new infected that manage to deal with the worst of L4D1's tactics, the maps seem much longer and are generally more open but still cluttered, which is ideal for playing as infected. The new weapons are fun, especially the melee ones. Only the grenade launcher seems to be very underpowered.
I'll withhold judgment until I've played a bit more. It's definitely fun though (and worth the 25 euros)

Need to get more into it, play the infected, learn the maps. Definitely fun so far.
On a side note I still get weird mouse lag. Now I can actually turn off vsync and multicore rendering unlike in the demo though, so it's not that bad.

Regarding the skill-curve, you're very much right. Play surviver has no skill-curve at all. It's just point gun at stuff - shoot. Jenni loves playing L4D.
Play infected is slightly harder though, specifically hunter.
