I already had the 360 version but saw the PC version today, ended up just picking it up for the hell of it. I have to say, I am very impressed. The IWnet does a great job of getting you into the games. Lag, which was by far in the way my biggest concern, does not seem to be an issue. I had to disconnect from a game one where the host clearly was downloading porn but thats about the only time I have had an issue. Sure, for mods, and competative game play, the game is blasphemous, but, if you just want a shooter, I dont really think its as bad as people think. 18 player max is fine aswell, if it was any bigger it be a spawn kill fest like COD4 was. Dont think I have been spawnkilled yet. Sure you get campers etc, but it isnt a case of going round a corner and being shot spawn, shot spawn shot.

I was boycotting ... til I actually saw the game played. Gotta say, the game lives up to the hype. And I didn't expect to be saying that about any COD title being the Battlefield fanboy that I am.
I'd still like dedicated servers, they offer more control than the matchup system does. However, the matchup system works very well. Picked up the game yesterday and only had lag for short periods of 3 rounds, usually just at the very beginning. Besides that, runs like a hot lead through butter. My only complaint is no ability to kick players out of the round until the patch is implemented for that.
Maps are larger and have more variety than COD4 and even the smallest maps feel larger because the buildings have more playable area inside. Even on the largest map it's not a snipe fest, which was a concern of mine. I shudder at the memory of AWPs in CS:S. Can't say enough about the how much better the maps are, that alone is a reason to play this game. But unless you play the game, it's hard to describe. They're all gorgeous and who can argue with duking it out in a snowy submarine base? The sounds are very well done, too. Weapons are all very satisfying to fire and the ambient sounds really put you in the moment.
Nice variety of weapons, you'll see the usual selection of assault rifles, smgs, lmgs, sniper rifles, and shotguns with the noteworthy addition of the Vector smg, Famas, SCAR-H, and F2000 among others. Oh and the SPAS-12? Great fun coming around a corner and blasting people off their feet. Cool My M4 (default assault rifle) served me well on all maps, though it was fun to try out the Vector smg. That thing sprays .45 rounds like no other. Not a distance weapon at all, but if you wanna put a lot of lead on target at close range, this is your weapon. For a full list of the weapons, look here:

After round report is a nice touch, too. They've added a lot and the game tracks such a big list of things I can't remember them all. Among them are who had most headshots, most kills of higher ranked players, most time playing crouched, most rifle/smg/shotty/sniper/nade kills etc etc. Oh and regarding nades, you can't spam them like before. They can't be thrown as far as before and bounce around more than COD 4 or 5.
Ingame you have a personalized tag which has different titles, rank symbols, etc that you unlock as you lvl up. Your tag shows up onscreen after you kill someone and if you get the round winning kill, everyone will see a slowmo of you taking down the final enemy.
I'm sure there's things I've forgotten, but I am absolutely a fan of this game after what I saw playing last night. Had major concerns about the number of players in a round, but to be honest, it's not an issue at all. The maps work great even down to 4 vs 4.

My Buddy got it once. Got a triple kill with predator missile, couple of good m4 kills, then chopper gunner. If you have nuke I would recommend chopper gunner, it rapes everybody. I think chopper and artillery should not be in this game. The game is good but you can't fkin kill someone without someone else killing you from behind etc.
