Meh, I guess so. But personally I think it's too late to stop the snowball of increasing console players. However, when people stop buying PC games, there might be a company or two that will grab hold of this market and start making decent games that are PC exclusives, or companies will keep the PC port standard high to keep PC gamers happy and keep hold of this market.Miggle wrote:

That's really what it's starting to be about now, and will continue to be about, the indie devs. They're not in it for the money as much as these huge companies, they just want to make something cool. So lucky us, we get cheap games and interesting new ideas.
good idea, I'll stop questioning the game and just play through mindlessly enjoying it because everybody else probably is. I thoroughly enjoy not caring which weapons I'm using because they're all the same, and I love all the times this game takes control away from me or slows down time unnecessarily. I'm a little pissed with the ending though. You never get to finish the fight in America, and they leave the fate of WWIII very much open. I was really excited when one of the americans asked when they were taking the fight to moscow and was met with the reply "soon." But then I never got to go

Sure I'm hard on a lot of games, I rarely give them the benefit of the doubt. That's because I don't want them to get worse, I don't want to see any flaws, giving bad games 7/10s because you don't want to say they're awful is stupid, and it helps bad games to do well.
I've gone into plenty of games with a negative attitude and been quite pleasantly surprised, Borderlands, Oblivion, and Crysis recently.
