It was a great series.
The 8th inning worried me a bit but I knew they will beat the Dodgers last night.

Haha it was a great series? The Phillies whooped up on the Dodgers. It was fairly one-sided, really. The Phillies exposed the glaring weakness of the Dodgers - starting pitching. If I were a Phillies fan I'd be worried about Cole Hamels drop-off in performance from last Playoffs and wary about Pedro Martinez' consistency.link52787 wrote:

Congrats to the Phils though, they were clearly the better team throughout the series.

I have to admire the Angels. They are delaying the inevitable but they are putting up a fight.
So in the battle of 2 stupid managers, one finally outdid the other in incompetence. Twas good shit.
Lol. Mike Scioscia is regarded as one of the best managers in the league buddy. Certainly Joe Girardi's decision-making has been poor, but Scioscia's big mistake was taking out John Lackey.N00bkilla55404 wrote:

Do you even follow baseball, or do you just jump in to spout anti-Yankee/Pro Red Sox nonsense?
I almost forgot.... GO ANGELS!
good stuff last nite, eh JENNINGS?
Indeed. I thought I was going to pass out and/or throw up in the 9th. Scioscia shouldn't have pulled Lackey. I heard Lackey was pretty upset after the game.
i thought you liked the dodgers?
Hate the Dodgers. Been going to Angels games since I was like 4. Sat in pretty much the same seats all my life.Red Forman wrote:

Lackey was upset, pretty much when the idiot ump kept calling the corners 'balls'. i thought he was gonna charge the plate. and when he was pulled, i thought he was gonna rape the dugout - he had that look. . .KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

Let's not and give the Halos another World Series bid and another offseason of second-guessing for the Yanks. Oh wait, you guys probably already have a city full of Girardi detractors analyzing his every move.
not this year

It's sad that managing is just choosing who plays when and where; if your team sucks your manager must suck as well. If You have a horrible "closer," and you insist on using him to protect a 1 run lead and you're also taking out someone who flattened the order the inning before you deserve to lose, it's a shame they didn't.
