I know fucking karate
I just made an account, but didn't bring my library into it, so I'm currently running the scribbler or whatever it's called to get that shit in order.

The scrobbler just puts it in as you listen (assuming that tiny program is running while you're listening to your music). So any play data you might have before will not be entered into last.fm.

I know. I'm using it because I necessarily want to put all the other shit I had listened to into the profile.
Updated. Sorry for the delay fellas. My colleagues refuse to help me .

Anyone else still interested in this? I figure I'm going to come out of my recent Last.fm stupor and try to use the Playlists and Loved Tracks features... have ignored them pretty much since they were introduced to the site over a year ago.

I used to make last.fm playlists, but it's annoying being hindered with a bunch of 30-sec clips. So then you go through and take out the ones that don't play all the way through and you're left with a big bag of meh.
Pretty sure subscribers don't get 30 second samples... I've never encountered them on the radio, playlists or iPhone player.

Ah, well in that case...
But then I won't be able to enjoy my own hard work
Actually, the only time I used a last.fm play list was just to throw some music on there to listen to on the site while at work.

I use loved tracks but if I make a playlist it'll be in winamp.Uzique wrote:

It just tracks what you listen to.

then recommends you new/similar artists
lets you explore similar genres
lets you build playlists/compile loved tracks lists/add friends to meet likeminded people/join groups to get further recs or discuss the music
listen on the move and scrobble from your iphone/ipod/mobile device
use the last.fm radio to stream and discover further new music
