FPS games
Mouse > Thumb Joystick
Racing & Sport games
Thumb Joystick > mouse
Hence why I have a PC

I find it pretty easy to play an FPS with the controller, makes the controls more compact as well.Red Forman wrote:

Compact is sometimes good ...but I have big hands.M.O.A.B wrote:

just because someone is better than you doesn't mean they're a hacker......there really aren't as many hackers out there that people think.-CARNIFEX-[LOC] wrote:

i dont think so. a buddy of mine bought a hack for cod4. i watched him and it all became clear. then i would play and know damn well who was hacking. damn near every server had at least one hack.farmerfez wrote:

90% of PC CoD4 players are awful.
80% of stats are made up
at least 90%
I meant CS 1.6, which did have rampant hacking before I quit playing PC FPS's for a couple of years. I played PS2 for my first 2 years of college, because its hard to beat 4 people playing Madden/NHL 2xxx/NBA Live! 2xxx/etc. on a console, especially when you're drinking with your friends. I played CS:S sporadically (and didn't see many hackers then, tbh...), but BF2 is the game that pulled me back to PC FPS games.
You can do well and have fun on console controllers, but I always feel like I'm missing quite a bit of accuracy that the mouse provides. One good thing about consoles and FPS's is that you know everyone else has essentially the same controller to play with, whereas in PC gaming you could have a cheap mouse and basic mouse pad and have significantly less accuracy than someone with a solid mousing surface and an expensive laser mouse.
Back to OF2...This is one game that I plan on finishing in singleplayer before moving online, so I still haven't played any annihilation mode online; I was wondering if helicopters are available in it, or if they are only usable in singleplayer/co-op?

I played one round where there were helo's but they were the Chinese transport choppers with rocket pods and some blackhawk's not sure about the attack choppers.
Nearly everyone hacks on cod4.Miggle wrote:

There was only one good fps on a console.
Only one.
Only one.

Don't forget Rainbow Six Vegas 2! That's pretty good too on console, because you take it slow.
Tired of hackers in cs?
Stop playing 24/7 dust2 Deathmatch.

Perfect Dark was pretty epic too. The only thing it lacked against Goldeneye was sweet music.
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
Started the campaign again on hardcore mode. Made it through Missions 1 and 2 first time (with a few close shaves with the gunship on 2) and got all the way to assaulting the village on 3. Got shot so I went down to heal, then one of our AAVP's fired and its grenade hit the tree I was using for cover, so had to restart, now I keep getting killed by the PLA .
Hardcore is much better to play than normal difficulty though, even if it is frustrating at times.

one of my friends gets shot advancing on the airfield, the other gets killed trying to take the control tower with me, leaving me and the AI
put mines by each of the doors, destroy the WZ-10, call in the CAS, receive cobra support, get bumrushed by 5 APCs worth of infantry, throw grenades down the stairs every time i hear chinese, lose my AI teammate, get half of the control tower destroyed the by the cobra, refuse to leave the upper level of the tower, and finally survive it all

Proper pants shitting moment on mission 2.
Just killed the Sunburn launcher after avoiding patrols and guards, started to move toward the SAM site on the hill. Me and my guys are with the other specops team when a WZ-10 appears. PLA search for us, then find us. I get down and the AI does the same. WZ-10 is pummelling the crap out of the ground all around us, I'm lying there crapping myself because I'd have to restart if it got me, then I hear one of my guys saying we'd lost them and the WZ-10 flies off.
Twas awsm.
