The Communards - Don't Leave Me This Way

Reminds me of being in the house with my mom when i was like ~5 she was doin the cleaning, had a massive chrome HiFi, reminds me of then.

Len - Steal My Sunshine

I was 15 when this was released, takes me back to when shit didn't matter, no worries, no stress, just sitting in the park doin absolutely nothing!

D-Kay & Epsilon ft. Stamina MC - Barcelona

First holiday abroad without parents......

Whenever I hear anything from By The Way I remember a particular day in Argentina.

Anything from Dookie takes me back to to my life as a 9/10 year old.

That song that goes DAAAAYYYOOOOOOO! ME SAY  DAYYYAYAYAYAOOOOOO! COME MR. TALIMAN, TALIME BANANA! My brother and I used to listen to that when we were very little, I was a tot.

That song and that video are the epitome of 90s music.

A lot of songs from around '96 and '97 take me back. It was the period where I was actually listening to recent music on the radio as opposed to just listening to my folks' Who, Paul Simon, Eric Clapton and Fleetwood Mac stuff.
It was the era of Hanson and Aqua and shit like that so generally that kind of stuff gets the nostalgia going. Songs I actually liked, (some I still do, some I don't, some I do simply for the nostaligia factor,) included:
"Neighborhood" by Space
"Your Woman" by White Town
"Karma Police" by Radiohead
"Push" by Matchbox 20
"Semi-Charmed Life" by Third Eye Blind
"6 Underground" by The Sneakerpimps
"Break My Stride" by Unique 2, (my first "favourite current pop song" - I am ashamed. )
"Coco Jumbo" by The Mister Presidents ( I am even more ashamed.)
"Tubthumping" by Chumbawamba
"One Headlight" by The Wallflowers

As well as all the Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins etc. kind of stuff that I generally wound up liking later on and Green Day, Alanis Morrissette that everyone always listened to around that time.

Oh, and the Maca-fucking-rena - I never liked it but it is a distinctive sound of that era.

I was going through youtube about a month back, found those two songs, and gave me related videos.. ended up downloading 'The Ketchup Song', 'Iko Iko' from Mission Impossible sountrack, 'Hey Baby (If you be my girl)', which my friend would always sing back in 2000 or so, and 'Sex Bomb'. Also, the song 'Im Blue' by Eifel 65. Theres actually quite a few like those sitting around, you know, those songs that you forget about altogether yet you still know the lyrics to? Yeah, goddamn I love it when that happens.

The Ketchup Song was a blatant attempt to try to create another Macarena, as such it is concentrated evil. It even ripped off "Rapper's Delight" by The Sugarhill Gang which is reason enough for it to be condemned to Hell for eternity.

I liked "Blue" though.

Smashing Pumpkins.  Any song off of Melancholy or Siamese.  Pumpkins emerged freshman year of high school,  Alot of their songs were playing in the backgrounds of where some of my best memories were made.  These songs here bring me back every and anytime I hear them, it's like i get hypnotized when they come on, and memories come pouring out of the back of my mind.
