FC2 had as many things done right as it did wrong.
Combat was done right, missions were done wrong.
Atmosphere was done right, story was done wrong.
If you like just shooting people and blowing things up, FC2 probably does that better than any other game out there.
However if you want a game that's got a good story and lots of variety in the missions with cool scripted events, stay away from it.

after playing about 75% of the way through the only fun I really had was taking the jeep with the mounted grenade launcher to the no fire zones and killing everyone.
