BF2S Forums New Modern warfare 2 Multiplayer details

Oh god.

They've focused too much of their efforts into creating killstreaks, the new "random killstreak reward" which is completely unnecessary in an FPS, and now these new"deathstreaks" to make people who suck (read: Xbox 360 players) feel good about themselves.  It's all so much excess that it doesn't even seem like a FPS anymore.  What happened to being rewarded for working together?  What happened to getting that warm fuzzing feeling when playing together as a squad with friends and dominating?  It seems like any sort of teamplay has been traded for gimmicky rewards for avoiding death, which shouldn't have to have a reward or incentive.

I'll probably eventually try it out/get it, but I'm not really looking forward to it.

(lol @ specialist once again.  He's the perfect example of the CoD players who enjoy being spoonfed this excess perk crap)

The only thing preventing teamwork is random spawning. Which I'm pretty sure was implemented to prevent spawn camping. What do you want more, teamwork with .02% of the community, or less spawn rape?

CoD4 held my interest for a month or two. I really liked it. But that's because I had never played any of the other CoDs, so it was new to me. I'm still on the fence for MW2. It will probably only wind up holding my attention for a week.

Oh, and what's with the increase in experience points given out? Hell, I managed to hit 55 in 20 hours of play on CoD4, and that's not even that great of playing...

Actually, I have played CoD somewhat religiously sense vCoD. I have played "competitively" (I know its lame, but w/e) for all of the games, and actually enjoyed seasons 1 and 2 of CoD4 the most of all of them. True, CoD4 has become a stalemate where you know you will find the same strats and set nades every round, but I really did enjoy it alot.

If promodlive had come out when the game was released, and COD4 had received the same amount of map packs as WaW I think it would have been an incredibly successful competitive game. Sure, not all of the maps would have worked, but I'm sure at least a few would.


Now -
If CoD6 is going to have a promod version released around the time it comes out (or so its rumored) and it has the same level of map packs that CODWaW had then it could be quite the competitive game.

All going to depend on what the modders do with it.
