i'm glad i took the time to do bracketing and pano. gives the set a little flavor.

If you select a scene, say a boat on a lake, and try to scale it in CS3 it'll take the whole thing and crush it. Now in CS4 it realises that the boat is a boat and the water is water and it'll crush the water more, whilst being aware of the boat, and not crushing it..Sup wrote:

It's not an everyday feature and so it leaves me feeling meh. There are better new features to get excited about.

I'm about to download the CS 4 trial, and I'm kind of considering getting the student version ($200). My dad would go halfsies with me... worth the $100? I have elements... but it's so.... limited. I don't do a ton of stuff in photoshop, but I really miss features from what I used to have on cs2.
Minor photo edits, make some backgrounds in spare time, avatars, signatures, stuff like that. Worth the $100?

Technically, no, but at some point you should come up with settings on your own. It will give you a better understanding of how the program works and why some presets make things look the way they do. You'll also be able to come up with ones that more closely reflect what you want from your photography instead of using something someone else made that looks "kinda like" what you were going for, or even just editing a preset to meet your needs.burnzz wrote:
